- Ad Hominem Ex: While arguing with my sister about who ate the last cookie, she attacked me by saying I like cookies more.
- Genetic Ex: When the term of the Muslims is brought up in politics, politicians tend to badmouth them by calling them terrorists.
- Special Pleading Ex: The soccer player claimed that he could do a bicycle kick but when tested he couldn't, so he said that he could only do it when there was no pressure.
- Loaded Question Ex: The soccer player really wanted a spot on the team so when his coach was around he loudly asked his competition whether or not he still did drugs.
- Tu Quoque Ex: When his friend said his actions were bad, the boy jabbed back at him saying that he had also done the same.
- Composition/Division EX: Many Americans assume that because some Muslims are terrorists, all Muslims must be terrorists.
- Slippery Slope Ex: Parents assume that if they allow their children to stay out late once, they will begin to do drugs.
- Bandwagon Ex: Donald Trump recurrently brings up the idea that Mexicans are criminals so that he can get the support of racist Americans with the same mentality.
- Appeal to Nature Ex: The boy hit the other schoolboy out of anger and said that it is natural to get angry, but it didn't justify why he hit the other boy.
- Anecdotal Ex: The old man said that because the sun was not out yet in the morning, that it was going to be a very cold day.
