Today, I felt like a good human being because I was able to just care for myself. By this, I mean that I was just able to take some time for myself from other people, which doesn't usually happen. Rather than go to a family party with my parents, I decided to stay at home because I was mentally and physically exhausted. Even though I had to jog at least 30 minutes slowly, as suggested by my coach, I decided to take advantage of this time that I had for myself. Since I had the place to myself, I decided to blast some vibey music that I enjoy such as The Weeknd(Who's new songs are lit!!), Bryson Tiller, Frank Ocean(Who's new albums are lit!!), Drake, etc. and just read my book, lying face up, in a place next to the window, where I could feel the fresh air going past my face and into the room. Next, I got hungry so I chose to eat some watermelon, berries, and pineapple(great antioxidants) to feel relaxed inside my body plus I grabbed bags of ice to put on my legs which relaxed me even more. Then, I just stayed like that for a long while reading my book and enjoying the music. When it was time for dinner, my parents were still at the party so I cooked some pasta, heated up some leftover fish, diced some vegetables for a salad, and actually took the time to savor every bite. After, I went back to what I was doing before minus the ice and stayed like that until my parents got home, which became very noisy because of my little sister who is always hyper. Anyways, it felt good to do this because our bodies need to be taken care of spiritually and physically in order for us to be stress-free and be able to feel good about ourselves on a daily basis. So, I think that you too should have some alone time for yourself once in a while to relieve yourself of all your worries and stresses even if it's for a short while, but trust me your body will thank you.
