I think that music can be considered literature enough that it should be analyzed in English classes. It can be considered literature because it is of artistic value and the lyrical music is a sort of short story but with rhythm. The difference between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony is very minimal in that some involves a beat but they are all the same in how both use words and tell a sort of story. For example if you listen to a Drake song then most time it is telling a sort of story or ode about a girl he had which makes it similar to a poem or short story. An opera is similar to all of the above because it does tell a sort of story but just with a lot of musi involved and so does a symphony in how you may not hear or see the words but you can sort of feel it.
